大きさは高さ9ｃｍ×幅9ｃｍ×奥行9ｃｍの手の平サイズです。

幸せを呼ぶ鳥として有名なふくろうは、
「学芸と知性をつかさどる鳥」
「先見の明を持つ賢い鳥」
「知恵と信頼のシンボル」
「招福の神」
などと言われています。

また語呂合わせから、
「不苦労」苦労知らず
「福　籠」福を籠に詰め込む
「福　老」豊かに年をとる、不老長寿のお守り
とも言われます。

目を開いたとき世の中をしっかり見つめ
目を閉じているとき、夢・愛を願っています。

日本ではふくろうの鳴き声を聞くと
縁起が良いと昔から伝えられています。
また西洋でも古くから学問の神様として
親しまれているそうです。

素材は淡路島の特産品でもある淡路瓦の土。
約200万年前の地層から採れる土を素材として
鬼師と呼ばれる職人が手作り製作しています。
