魔除け厄除けの鍾馗さんミニ

魔除け、厄除けで人気の鍾馗さん。
手の平サイズで気軽に飾っていただけます。

サイズは高さ約15ｃｍ　幅9.5ｃｍ　奥行9ｃｍ
重さは約700グラムです。

「鐘馗さん」とは中国で鬼を退治したという伝説の英雄で、疫病神を祓い魔を取り除くと信じられてきました。

京都や奈良の町屋の屋根によく30ｃｍ程の大きな鍾馗さんを飾っています。
その理由は？

昔、ある薬屋が大きな家を建てた際、屋根に大きな鬼面瓦を据えたそうです。
その鬼瓦を見た、向かいの家の娘が、その鬼に常に睨まれているような気がして夜ごとうなされ、ついには病気になって寝込んでしまったのです。

家族は病気を直すために、様々な手をつくしたけれど、一向に良くならないので、娘が言う、その鬼瓦を取り外してくれないかと、薬屋に頼んだのですが、薬屋には大金を払って取り付けた鬼瓦なので外す事はできない！と言われてしまうのです。

そこで家族は鬼に勝つものは何か？と考え、中国の伝説にならい鐘馗さんの瓦を特別につくってもらい屋根に置いたそうです。すると、娘の病はすっかり回復したといいます。

これが屋根のうえに飾るようになった由縁とされているそうです。


今では隣家の鬼瓦に対するというよりも、
自分の家に降りかかる邪気を祓い、守るために取り付けられる
ことが多いようです。


素材は淡路島の特産品でもある淡路瓦の土。
約200万年前の地層から採れる土を素材として
鬼師と呼ばれる職人が手作り製作しています。

昔ながらの和瓦（いぶし瓦）の色です。

So what does the family have to win against the demons? So, following a Chinese legend, Shoki-san's roof tiles were specially made and placed on the roof. It is said that her daughter's illness has completely recovered.

It is said that this is the reason why they came to be displayed on the roof.
